I attended my CRHP weekend to meet people as I was new to the parish. Well, I have experienced that and so much more!!! The weekend was amazing!!! Now I not only have new friends to greet at Mass, but I have wonderful people to walk this journey of faith with. I am so glad I listened to the Holy Spirit nudging me! I encourage everyone who has never been through CRHP or if it has been a little while since you attended your last weekend, to go ahead and sign up. Let go of any excuses or fears and just do it! You will be so glad you did!!!
Becoming involved with CRHP has had a profound impact in my life. It has strengthened my faith and made me a better father and husband. Most importantly however, it brought me closer to Christ and to those who are walking the same path as am I. It also made me realize how much we need the Lord and each other in our lives.
The CRHP experience is difficult to put into words. You often hear people say you might have to go through it to understand it. Simply put, it is a very powerful, faithful journey that will cross your life with the paths of other people in the parish community, bringing all ranges of age and life experiences to the table and it will bond you all together in a way that will touch your life forever. It is God at work!
As a non-Catholic, attending church with my Catholic family, I was extremely nervous about attending a weekend in unknown territory. I wasn’t even sure what I hoped to gain by going. I can honestly say it was one of the most powerful weekends of my life, and has provided me with the tools I need to better my life. I now have a sense of direction as I lead my family in our walk of faith.
Holding a professional, full time job and caring for 3 kids under the age of 9, attending CRHP initially seemed impossible. However, it has provided an outlet for me to positively focus on my life and get things in perspective. CRHP has provided me with an encouraging and supportive focus group in enhancing my prayer life and faith journey with Jesus.
At first, I was hesitant to attend a CRHP weekend because I did not know much about it. But I went to one and my life has changed! It helped me to become more spiritual and open to new ideas. The weekend showed me the bigger picture of my faith journey as well as helped me discover the path Jesus intends for me.
I was always curious about CRHP. People who have been to a renewal weekend are always so enthusiastic. I now know why. To say that the CRHP process has changed my life would be an understatement. I feel I have received a sense of peace and hope in my life as well as a group of women who will be life long friends.
I have always attended mass, but as hard as I tried, it was difficult to be the disciple during the week. That changed dramatically for me during the time after CRHP.
Our group's "reading nights" helped me to focus my readings on topics other than novels, and helped me to learn to share thoghts on my faith with others.
An interesting little fact about the van Vierzens and CRHP...by me going through the process, it allowed my wife to pray for the strength to go to her weekend and join the team. She even felt called to be the HELP letter coordinator. I feel like CRHP has allowed us to be able to talk more openly about Catholicism (Since I am not Catholic) and what it means to her and what it will mean to us as we are in the process of raising our son.

As a Catholic, I spent years showing up to church on most Sundays and going through the motions required of me. CRHP opened my eyes to the possibility that I was called to do more with what God has given me and that Sunday was not enough.
I was deeply moved at my CRHP weekend and the experience continues to provide me many benefits after that. I am now a much more spiritual, happier person and continuing to grow with the help of the Holy Spirit. It has given me insight into becoming a better disciple of Christ while helping me to be a better husband. father and friend. I really didn’t want to go, but I’m so glad I did!
My Christ Renews His Parish weekend was a life-changing experience. It gave me the impetus to begin a new and lively relationship with Jesus. I have also benefitted greatly from the experience of meeting so many faith-filled women in our parish. It has truly made St. Louis de Montfort feel like home.
CRHP was a wonderful weekend of renewal and growth of my faith. My life is filled with an overscheduled calendar and overstretched finances which sometimes make it easy to forget how important Jesus is in my life. Attending the CRHP weekend reinforced my faith and how much I need to be thankful for God’s gifts. Being a part of CRHP has connected me with other parishioners to spread the word. Jesus is no longer on the earth to teach and show all that God has provided, therefore, we must now be His disciples to teach and show others. Make time for CRHP and go on a mission to have Jesus in your life!
The CRHP renewal weekend was one of the most moving experiences of my life. Though the process is gradual, the roots of the change within me are deep. Because of CRHP, I feel that I am strengthening my relationship with Jesus, and moving toward a Christ-centered life.
